This is family owned and operated business that has been operating in South Australia since 1998.

We will build custom homes suited to your lifestyle and budget. Whether you are a first home buyer, developer, investor or looking for your next home, we understand and take on board the importance of this investment and will work hard to ensure a successful building experience, from concept to completion.

We offer a variety of services, including custom home builds, extensions, renovations, knockdown rebuild, subdivision of land and project management. As a long-standing member of the Housing Industry Association (HIA), we have a strong focus on building code compliance and quality without compromise. We will ensure clear communication and adherence to timelines and budget throughout the duration of the process of construction. You will have direct contact to the project manager and supervisor throughout the process.

We work with project managers, engineers and surveyors to fast track the process for you. All our contractors are licensed and experienced, they work with us to ensure compliance and efficiency whilst maintaining the highest of quality standards.

We are HIA long standing members and our director is HIA GreenSmart accredited and we pride ourselves in the quality and attention to detail we put into every project we undertake.

Services

Custom Home Design and Build

We look at what your needs are for your dream home and work collaboratively to ultimately meet your requirements. Your new home will be designed to suit the block of land, your lifestyle and your budget.
We also have a range of single and double story homes that you may wish to consider.

Your Plans

We will work with you and our architects, draftsman and Interior designer to create your plans. If you already have your full set of plans and are ready, we can be ready too. We can provide you with a fixed price proposal for your consideration or we can work with a cost-plus contract if that suits your needs. If you have only preliminary plans we could provide you with feedback and guide you to complete the plans.

Knockdown Rebuild or Additions and Extensions

If you prefer to stay in your current location but are not quite happy with your current home, we can work with you to rebuild totally or add to and renovate your existing home. We have considerable experience with this and can work with you and your family to achieve the best result with least amount of disruption.

Project Management

If you are looking for someone to look after your full project, we can do this for you. As builders and developers, we also have knowledge and expertise in land subdivision and can help ensure you get the most out of the site and achieve a maximum return on investment. If you are an investor, developer, or would like a Project Manager, we have significant project management experience, and can manage your project throughout all the stages.

4MB Construction and their crew did a complete overhaul of our family home in 2015. We overhauled the insides of the 1930s house, with major works in the kitchen and 3 bathrooms. Throughout the process, we could always trust the builder to provide honest advice on the many technical details that we were ignorant of. He was happy and patient to listen to us regarding our plans, and once the plan were agreed upon, delivered what he promised and on budget. The builder paid great attention to detail, and often supervised tasks himself. We’ve had some minor problems after the build, and 4MB Construction were happy to send people around to fix them quickly, mostly at no cost to us. Building Process

As custom builders we provide end-to-end service from concept to completion. Throughout this process you will have an experienced Building Manager and Supervisor who will provide guidance, advice and regular updates on the progress. As listed below, we have a clear consultation, design and building process which ensures all factors have been considered prior to the commencement of any work.

Initial consultation: The initial consultation is an opportunity to discuss your vision, ideas and individual requirements, including timeframes and budget expectations.

Site meeting: This meeting will enable us to get a better understanding of your block of land, its orientation, slope, dimensions, and if there are any trees to be considered.

Your ideas put to paper: During the design stage, your ideas will be put to paper in a collaborative process led by our architect.

Plans: During this stage, the plans will be finalised along with the elevations and facade.

Planning approval: We will work with you and Council to organise planning, building and full development approval.

Selections: At this stage of the process, all final selections will be made.

The build: Your Building Manager will keep in contact with you throughout the building process with regular progress reports.

Handover: Once the building process is complete, there will be a final inspection followed by the handover of keys.

Our ongoing commitment: we are committed to ensuring our relationship continues well beyond the building process. A three-month free maintenance period will apply, and we will always be available to answer any questions or assist with any concerns you may have. Post completion of the project you may wish to perform additional works for which we would be happy to work with you.
